An electric utility had outgrown an aging infrastructure asset management software and was ready to upgrade to a new system with more functionality, but needed additional resources to keep the project on schedule. Our team worked on behalf of the utility to implement MinMax Technologies eSmart asset management and inspection tool:
- Developed the database configuration
- Transferred asset information over from the previous system
- Populated additional asset information from disparate data sources and field data collection
- Provided QA/QC to ensure data accuracy
- Generated new asset inspection forms
Sixty Mountain provided the database and asset experience to successfully implement the new asset management system in a timely manner
Our team provided conversion support from a mix of data sources including SQL databases, spreadsheets, and field data collection. The data was converted into the new system format without a loss of fidelity.
The new system was configured to store and track all of the characteristics of the client's specific infrastructure.
The new system's inspection forms were generated to mimic the existing system's inspection forms to minimize impact to operations personnel who performed the periodic asset inspections.
