An electric cooperative agreed to interconnect a 2.99 MW solar facility to its distribution system. The cooperative needed design and engineering for its side of the interconnection. Our team provides civil design and owner's engineering for the new substation feeder bay and the distribution intertie:
- Designed the civil scope for the new feeder bay
- Supported design of the distribution intertie to the point of interconnection
- Developed the materials list and tracked long-lead procurement
- Maintains the project schedule to the energization date
Sixty Mountain covers the cooperative's side of the interconnection, from the feeder bay to the point of interconnection.

SUBSTATION FEEDER BAY
The feeder bay design includes the recloser foundation and rack, conduit, riser supports, disconnects and insulators, and metering panel modifications. The new recloser bay ties in under the existing bus.
DISTRIBUTION INTERTIE
The intertie includes underground cable, overhead spans, a primary metering cluster, and a gang-operated switch at the demarcation point. Fiber for curtailment control runs with the line.
MATERIALS AND PROCUREMENT
A complete materials schedule was developed. The recloser, controls, and curtailment controller are tracked as long-lead items against the construction dates.

Our team maintains the schedule across cooperative outage windows, developer milestones, and a firm energization date.
