An electric cooperative is constructing a new 115 kV to 25 kV distribution substation, along with associated transmission and distribution projects, to serve growing load. Major equipment was specified, quoted, and tracked from purchase order through delivery. Long-lead items are watched closely so construction is never waiting on material.

Our team acts as the owner's single point of contact between the design engineer, protection and SCADA firms, subconsultants, permitting agencies, and construction contractors.

COMMISSIONING PLANNING

A step-by-step commissioning program was developed covering wire checks, low voltage powerup, equipment testing, relay and SCADA verification, and transformer soak through in-service.
