A public utility district needed seven substation feeder relays brought into its SCADA system through a new real-time automation controller. Our team programmed the RTAC and delivered the complete integration package:
- Programmed the SEL-3530 RTAC for seven SEL-351S feeder relays
- Built the DNP3 point map to the Survalent master station
- Generated ready-to-load master station point files
- Wrote the commissioning guide and point-by-point test sheet
The integration was engineered from the relays' actual settings, so the controls work the way the protection engineer intended.
RTAC CONFIGURATION
The RTAC was programmed directly from the relays' as-built settings and logic. Control schemes, interlocks, and per-relay differences were verified from the source files rather than assumed.
DNP3 POINT ENGINEERING
The point map uses generic relay names so future relay logic changes only require master station edits. Each point carries a plain-language meaning in a companion point list.

MASTER STATION FILES
Point files were generated to match the district's standard relay faceplate, so operator screens bind without manual data entry.
COMMISSIONING PACKAGE
Our team wrote a reusable commissioning guide and a per-point checkoff sheet covering communications checks, point checkout, and control testing.
